How to install Pot Lights in Ceiling | Recessed Lighting, Can Lights



To install pot lights or recessed lighting you need to locate your beams. Do this before cutting the holes for your pot lights, downlight, or can lights (canister light).

  2. The truth is, it is clear yall did edits so the video flowed and was smooth. Many others will just let it run with them studdering and dropping stuff. Very good video!

  3. Looking though the hole at 7:25 minutes, it sure looks like the blind drilling into concealed studs cut through 14/2 wiring. This is why you should never drill blind. You could possibly drill into live wires, duct work, plumbing, etc. Take the time to do it right, and not again after you have fix what you screwed up.

  4. This chick is cute but far from an electrician. Dont just drill into a ceiling without going up to make sure u r clear of joists, wires, and insulation. Also u r better off running the wires in the attic instead of thought the holes. No need for the colonoscopy camera that way. And lastly, u better hope nothing goes wrong with ur fixtures if u put those stupid covers on and seal them. LEDs dont give off that much heat. It's not code to cover them.
