Gov. J.B. Pritzker discusses 'point system' being used to obtain a license to legally sell marijuana

Governor J.B. Pritzker sat down the the Chicago Sun-Times editorial board to discuss the legalization of marijuana in Illinois along with other legislation passed …

  1. "how would they get involved" WELL they won't… The license is overly expensive for average people. If he wanted to help average people he would make the licensing fee something achievable, like 500 $ and simply require everyone creating a business to have their product tested. I'm a poor white guy, and I sure as hell won't have the money "or the points" to open my own business. Frankly, this shit is ridiculous and clearly meant to be a barrier to entry for average citizens.
The fact that they threw out home grow really shows their true colors and why they implemented the bill this way.

Once issued a permit, $30,000 permit fee for the first year

    Annual permit renewal: $100,000
